TO MANAGE IN 5 MINUTES. POLISH EXPERIENCE. – Young Generation Will Change Ukraine

Such a big country. A lot of cities, towns and villages. And so many people, young and middle-aged, who have no job. Or they do work, but at a cheap rate, without perspectives for dignified life. The way out is either to work abroad, or … to wait.

But people can be given a job. Despite the statements – that “ investments will not come to the country, where there are military activities ” or “it is not advantageous for Europeans to invest in Ukraine”.

As we found out, Polish investors are ready to do business in Ukraine, but they can not find the partners in our country (!). Yatsek Pekhota, former minister of economics and now head of The Polish-Ukrainian chamber of commerce told about it during the meeting with the participants of the program “Young Generation Will Change Ukraine”, which is realized by the Charity Foundation of famous Ukrainian Bohdan Hawrylyshyn. This means that Ukrainian government and local authorities do not look for investors and do not invite them. Chance to open new enterprises and to give people jobs, prosperity and better life is being lost.

On the other side, Polish authorities understand: while the cost of labour in Poland is not as high as in other European countries, it is needed to do everything to make the investors from richer countries to open their business in Poland. In the Agency of Vrotslav agglomeration development they call it “To manage in 5 minutes”. Ukraine also has these “5 minutes”. Because in comparison with Poland the cost of labour in Ukraine is even lower, thought it is unpleasant to comprehend this fact. But this is our chance. As it was a chance for a region in the Southern West of Poland – Vrotslav district, where 2700 enterprises on the 14 000 hectares were opened.

So this article tells about methods, which use our neighbours to raise capital to their economy and create working places. The methods, which Ukraine can use.
