
2015 YOUTH DELEGATES TO THE UN SELECTED
Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Charitable Foundation jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine are pleased to announce the selection of 2015 youth delegates to the UN has been completed.
For the second time joint efforts have enabled Ukrainian youth delegates to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York and represent our country on a global level.
“Ukrainian Youth Delegate to the UN” project selection took place at the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Charitable Foundation office and included several rounds.
These were the members of the selection panel:

- Olena Bekrenova, Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Charitable Foundation, Director
- Mykola Movchan, Ministry of Youth and Sposts of Ukraine, Deputy minister for European integration
- Yurii Vitrenko, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Department of International Organizations, Deputy director of the Department, Head of the Division for the United Nations
- Viktoriia Luchka, 2014 Youth Delegate to the UN
The requirements to the candidates were more than tough. First and foremost – thorough knowledge of English, in-depth knowledge of issues related to Ukrainian youth, strong motivation, international projects participation experience coupled with deep knowledge of UN activities.

Four participants selected for the second round were tasked to develop and advocate their own projects related to the existing problems of young people.
Three candidates succeeded through the selection process – Inna Sandiuk, Evelina Ibraimova and Oleh Puryshev.
Inna Sandiuk
Member of the “Young Generation Will Change Ukraine” Association, regional development project coordinator, interpreter, volunteer journalist in a Polish printed issue. Fluent in 5 languages. Graduated from Taras Shavchenko National University of Kyiv in theory and practice of translation and interpreting. Got MA in international relations at the University of Wroclaw. Under the exchange programme studied at the Goethe University of Frankfurt. Passed internship programme at the Parliament of Poland. Also has work experience at the international corporation.
Evelina Ibraimova
Project manager at Kyiv Post. Got BA in international relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Fluent in English and Spanish. Has work experience as an interpreter to the OSCE Monitoring Missions for parliamentary and presidential elections in Ukraine. Her international experience also includes internship at CECREDA – argentine think-tank, as well models of the Atlantic Council organized by the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association in Estonia and Portugal.
Oleg Puryshev
Activist and expert of the “FAIR” civic movement and “Watch Your Money” public initiative. One of the founders of the crowdfunding platform “MyCity”, interpreter, volunteer of the NGO “Center.UA”. Fluent in 4 languages. Fourth year student of the Pace University, USA, studying political science, history and sociology. Was awarded for participation in the National Models of the UN in Washington and New York. Has practical experience in developing and managing IOS and Android mobile applications.
We are grateful to all the candidates who participated in the selection! We feel proud of our young people and are absolutely sure that with such Ukrainians our country will definitely succeed!
